Liposuction remains the procedure most favoured by the British public. Of the men and women surveyed 46.2% of men said they would consider cosmetic surgery compared to 45.5% of women. This result shows that for the first time men’s attitudes towards cosmetic surgery, perhaps from the result of added pressure regarding body image , is almost in line with that of women’s.
Comparing the British regions, Scotland had the high percentage of those surveyed which indicated 50% would like to have liposuction. Wales came in second place with 33%, but the South had the lowest percentage indicating they would like to have surgery.
