More Men do Cosmetic Surgery Compared to Women

Following a survey into the perception of body image and attitude towards cosmetic surgery, it has emerged that more men than women would now consider cosmetic surgery!

The survey was conducted on behalf of Viridian Medical the Vaser Liposuction clinic and had surprise results including increased interest in plastic surgery by men.

Liposuction method most preferred
Liposuction is still the method most preferred by the British public. Both genders were cast in a surveyed, 46.2% of men said they would consider cosmetic surgery compared to 45.5% of women. This result shows that for the first time men’s attitudes towards cosmetic surgery, perhaps from the result of added pressure regarding body image , is almost in line with that of women’s.

Comparing the British regions, Scotland had the high percentage of those surveyed which indicated 50% would like to have liposuction. Wales came in second place with 33%, but the South had the lowest percentage indicating they would like to have surgery.
